Our Story

Big Dog’s Deli is a bar dedicated to sandwiches. It was cultivated from a passion and respect for the humble sanga, as so much more than a quick lunch staple. The sandwich is a fundamental food source of most, if not every culture and we are excited by the endless possibilities.


For us it is all about the ingredients. We have strong relationships with suppliers, strive to understand the seasons and source locally. To minimize our wastage and global footprint we ferment, pickle, cure and smoke most of our ingredients in house.


Rich meats and tangy pickles are best accompanied with a beer or wine so expect to see an emphasis on local independent breweries with rotating beer taps, a selection of Australian wine and local craft spirits.

Our menu is constantly changing with seasonal specials. But from house smoked pastrami to seasonal vegetarian combinations we have you covered. Our sangas are filling heavy, made to order and complete with a pickle.



By night, from Thursday to Sunday, our emphasis is on our ever-changing bar of local independent breweries, boutique Australian wines and a selection of spirits and cocktails. Grab a spot at the bar or in our courtyard under the tree, and tuck into quality charcuterie, pickles, bar snacks and share plates.
